aGent V5 Installation instructions for Apple MAC

The aGent V5 is plug and play for Mac users. No driver is required, however, for added functionality you may wish to install the included MAC driver called Webcam Monitor.

1. Plug the aGent webcam into a USB port (not a USB hub) and set position desirably.

2. Please place the aGent V4 CD into your CD drive or download the V4 webcam driver from here .
3. Open the CD folder and click on Agent V5 Driver Installer.mpkg
4. The installer screen will appear. Please follow the onscreen instructions
5. Open the application folder on your hard drive and find Webcam Monitor. This will open the webcam image.
 

When using any chat program please ensure Webcam Monitor is shutdown.  You may need to restart the computer if webcam monitor is operating.

Skype for MAC

Installation Instructions for Skype for Apple MAC

1. Open Skype
2. Connect the aGent webcam directly to your computer (do not use a hub).
3. Position the webcam to suit your needs
  

You will then need to verify the aGent webcam for Skype Installation
1. Open Skype and log in as normal.
2. Select Skype>Preferences
3. Click Video. Select Venus USB 2.0 Webcam or Vimicron USB 2.0 Webcam from the camera drop down box
4. Do the same for Audio input under the Audio tab.

Please make sure that webcam monitor is not running.
You may need to restart your computer after setting up the webcam in Skype for it to work correctly.

Please be sure, that your webcam is connected and not in use with another program..

PC

Installation for V5 driver for PC
The AMCAP driver allows the user to utilise a great number of features, such as facetracking, zoom, video recording, image capture and manipulation, and more.

1. Plug the webcam into a USB port (not a hub) and set position desirably. The webcam should install on the PC automatically

2. Please insert the driver CD or download the driver file from this location:
3. A menu panel should load automatically. If this does not happen, please open the PC driver folder on the CD and click on aGent V5 PC driver.exe file.
4. Please follow the instructions on the screen to install Amcap driver.

5. After installation is complete please restart your computer.

6. Open Amcap either through the desktop shortcut or through the windows start bar - look for amcap, under the 'Vimicro USB 2.0 UVC Camera' folder.

7. A screen will appear with menu options. The main screen may appear black. Click option > preview to enable the webcam to preview.

Skype for MAC

Installation Instructions for Skype for Apple PC

1. Open Skype
2. Connect the aGent webcam directly to your computer (do not use a hub).
3. Position the webcam to suit your needs
  

You will then need to verify the aGent webcam for Skype Installation
1. Open Skype and log in as normal.
2. Select Tools>options
3. Click Video settings. Select Venus USB 2.0 Webcam or Vimicron USB 2.0 Webcam from the camera drop down box. Click preview
4. Do the same for microphone under the Audio settings tab.

Please make sure that Amcap is not running.
